Explosion: Two injured in cylinder blast
Rescue workers said apparently a short circuit and gas leakage caused the fire and explosion.
RAWALPINDI:
A cylinder blast at a CNG station on Double Road injured two persons on Friday evening in the limits of New Town Police Station. Wajid Rafique Abbasi, owner of the Abbasi CNG Station, said a fire suddenly broke out in the machine room which gutted down the compressor, dispenser and a PLC canopy. A CNG cylinder blew up at the same time. Two CNG station employees suffered burn injuries in the explosion. Rescue teams reached the spot in time and put off the fire.
