Environmental degradation: Case sought against noisy neighbours

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sought comments from Shahdara police on a petition filed by a woman seeking a case against her neighbours for making noise near her house. Petitioner Khalida Bibi submitted that she lived near a square in Barkat Town. She said some youths in the area gathered at the square at night and made a noise. She said she had asked Zeeshan, Hassan and Amjad not to assemble near her house but they had ignored her. She said they had also threatened her with dire consequences for asking them to leave. She said the Shahdara station house officer had refused to register her complaint. She requested the court to direct the SHO to register the case.
