“The first film is yet to begin, but I have already been signed up,” Humaima commented. “I guess, he is caught up with PK now,” she said about Chopra’s upcoming Aamir Khan-starrer film. Rumour has it that UTV Motion Pictures, the production company behind Raja Natwarlal, had gone back on their word of signing her for three films. Denying the news as conjecture, she said, “That’s not true. I have heard this before, but honestly, it’s all humbug. I have no issues with UTV or Emraan Hashmi. I was signed by UTV for only one film.”
With substantial work in Bollywood, Humaima feels like she has “already moved to India for good.” “There was a time when I used to juggle between London, Dubai and Pakistan. Now, India has become my second home,” she states. She is undeterred by the unsuccessful Bollywood stints of actors such as Meera and Veena Malik.
“As far as I know, the last Pakistani actor who made a successful debut in Bollywood was Zeba Bakhtiar. I don’t know of any other Pakistani actors in Indian cinema. I’d like to follow Zeba’s footsteps. I’m clueless about so-called Pakistani actors in the Bollywood industry,” she said.
We wish Humaima all the best for her upcoming projects.

a very well answer. agree with u...actors do face clear ups and downs...and we should go with it ...not take it on the upper level(country level)
What difference does it make if Pakistani actors & actresses act in India, sometime you make great films & other times the films do not succeed. That is the life of an actor, while we all gossip like losers with no life at least our stars are working!
@Jamima: Dear Pakistan will give permission for to show there assets what they have and india will use the girl for there business ,
Hope Humaima does not end up showing a lot of skin like Veena Malik. I do not know of Veena's acting talent but she was giving all the Rakhi Sawants and other hotties of Bollywood a run for their money. Simply put she was being misused by the industy because she marketed herself that way and so did not get any good films to act in. Humaima please do not end up like Veena in Bollywood. Only go for good roles and banners. Because after Bollywood you have to live the rest of your life in dignity and self respect. All the best.
is this the same girl from 'Bol' who said she is proud of being a pakistani and she will never work in bollywood ?
@Ayesha: Have you seen lollywood movies of Meeras and veenas etc? Seems like you turned a blind eye to their tumkas in their songs and costumes, indeed on par with hollywood.
I certainly don't agree to ur point .... Do u live in Pakistan ? Did u watched any of the Pakistani film?.... We'll form ur point I don't think u do ..... ......we'll I'm really sorry but if u r looking for something like thumkas of heroine... Item numbers ...like in Indians movies then u better be right but our standard is not Bollywood it's hollywood!!!!! ....Pakistan have started making movies like Waar, Mein hon shahid afridi, Bol,kahuda khe ley and now kambakht....many good telefilms are being produced...and drama serials too.... ....why don't u appreciate that?!! ...if Pakistan is progressing in a field we should appreciate it not... Degrade the Pakistani industry like u did ...MR!!!!!! :-/@Pak 1243:
I don't get it at all why do our actors or actresses go to the other side of the border though they r never given importance but instead are always ignored and why do all actresses forget that after all it's India ... They make them shameless ...make them where short skirts .....but our actors don't get that at all !!! All our actors need is a handsome amount of money... And nothing else . Moreover why do our actors forget that they are after all PAKISTANI. They should act for their country to at least make the country proceed at least in one field...we r already ashamed by the terrorism , the politics and nowwww r actors and actresses. .....just want all the actors to realise their responsibility.
Good on her, but I am a bit disappointed that she is being marketed as just arm candy. I suppose that is the only way for a newcomer to break into Bollywood. Also female actresses anywhere in world have limited shelf life and it is important to go where the pay is good as well as reasonable conditions/working environment. Emraan is a great actor and he would treat her well and respectfully just like SRK does, he treats his costars with utmost respect especially if they are newcomers.
@Jamima: Have you seen the quality, volume of movies made in Pakistan, Pathetic is the word that comes to mind. She is better of with Bollywood.
The relevance of "2-nation theory" has already lost it seems.......especially for the celebrities of Pakistan....
@Talha: We tend to get too caught up in all those stereotypical paradigms. Fact is, it is just another job for these actors. Just like we won't hesitate to go work out of the country if the pay and the job description is good, they're doing the same. I don't think they owe any of us an explanation over where they earn a living.
I don't know why actors/ actresses from our country when given a chance in India try so hard which in my opinion shows on the camera that they are trying hard to make their presence felt especially women. No offense to anyone but they just don't have it in them as the Indians do. It really doesn't mean its right or wrong cuz i am just making my point and not criticizing of ones ability,
Indians do what they do best as its their baby, From inception of Indian movie industry, their projects always been larger than life which actually attracts the masses and thats where the money comes in from. They have mastered the art to perfection which seriously i don't follow but hey who am I to judge?
This bandi, Humaima gave an out of her skin kinda performance in 'Bol' and after that I wanted to see more of her in substantial roles just like that. I even thought of roles and characters which will really test and push her abilities and groom her.
Working in India is not bad, as actors don't have boundaries, but its like north and south what Humaima is doing. Its all about choices that you make. She should have pitched to the right people in the industry and have waited for an opportunity, Dancing and exposing will surely land you some whistles and love but at the end of the day its about being who you really are and we the drama/ movie industry in Pakistan is far mature than some fancy thumkas.
I wish you all the best and hope you find the right spot where you truly belong.
just couple of more low budget movies and she will be kicked out of the arena... not something new with desperate Pakistani actresses for the last few decades..... they all like getting dumped probably, enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She's probably trying to get attention so that she and her family can later on address international media and eventually get asylum somewhere in a Western nation while chanting persecution. I wonder if that's on her agenda.
so what is the big deal if humaima or any body scores successes in india. how about veena malik success. i request the media that for ALLAH SAKE set your priorities right. "aor bhi gham hein zamane mein GANE AOR BAJANE ke siwa"
Like actors from Europe go to big Hollywood industry
Why she is after india to get famous? Why not work hard in own country
