A two-day international conference will be held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal. The conference aims to provide a platform for writers and poets in the district to showcase their talent internationally, said the university’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khan Bahadar Marwat. The event will start from August 28, stated a press release issued on Monday.
Representatives from the world’s reputed universities in UK, USA, China, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Germany will be attending the gathering. Pakistani varsities’ professors, MPhil and PhD researchers will also present their thesis.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Marwat regarding the conference. Those attending the meeting included PRO Anwarzada, Registrar Badshah Hussain, Lecturer Bakhtzada Danish and other administrative staff.
They discussed the arrangements for the conference and stressed this seminar will prove to be fruitful for the development of Dir district.
Poetry recitation will also be included in the programme where noted poets including Abaseen Yousafzai, Iqbal Shakir, Israr Atal and others will present their work, said Danish.
