KARACHI:  The Pakistan Peoples Party has decided to form a special committee to mediate between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan Awami Tehreek and the government in order to resolve the current political crisis.

In a meeting of the party’s central executive committee, chaired by former president Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto, the PPP also called for the election commission of Pakistan to be reconstituted – a demand also made by the PTI.

The PPP was of the view that they had alleged massive rigging in the 2013 elections and called for an inquiry to be held even before the PTI did. In this regard, the party has also called for the formation of a judicial commission, as proposed by the prime minister in his address to the nation on August 11.

Further, the CEC meeting also called for an FIR to be lodged in the Model Town clashes case, as per the courts orders.

Providing details of a meeting between Zardari and JI chief Sirajul Haq, the party disclosed that the formation of an impartial commission to investigate alleged rigging was discussed.

Further, it urged all three parties to resolve the issue through dialogue.

This is the evil in our politicians, the family! One of the main evils of last decade. Include Iftikhar Ch Gen Kayani and Nawaz Sharif with his brother, M FazlulRehman and recently Baluchi Gandhi Achakzai.
