In a meeting of the party’s central executive committee, chaired by former president Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto, the PPP also called for the election commission of Pakistan to be reconstituted – a demand also made by the PTI.
The PPP was of the view that they had alleged massive rigging in the 2013 elections and called for an inquiry to be held even before the PTI did. In this regard, the party has also called for the formation of a judicial commission, as proposed by the prime minister in his address to the nation on August 11.
Further, the CEC meeting also called for an FIR to be lodged in the Model Town clashes case, as per the courts orders.
Providing details of a meeting between Zardari and JI chief Sirajul Haq, the party disclosed that the formation of an impartial commission to investigate alleged rigging was discussed.
Further, it urged all three parties to resolve the issue through dialogue.

There is no question of Mediation. It is battle of right or wrong. If Imran khan Or Dr.qadri will setlle for any thing less than Nawaz sharif resignation, electoral reforms and new elections there politics will be over for ever. They made a blunder by not capturing seats of government and applying extreme pressure and declearing Nawaz sharif's govt. By resorting to negociations they made people believe that they are part of the existing corrupt system. Revolution means rejecting the entire system in totality to be replaced by revolution . never herad negotiating in revolution.
