LARKANA:

Two ‘tabedars’, a supervisor and a record-keeper were suspended by Deputy Commissioner Ghanwar Ali Leghari after media reports of fraud in land owned by the Ratodero taluka hospital.

The suspended men are ‘tabedars’ Kashif Ali Solangi and Mumtaz Hussain Zangejo, supervisor Mir Hassan Pitafi and record-keeper Abdul Jabbar Bhutto from the Mukhtiarkar, Ratodero office.

The hospital, constructed in 1974-1975 and inaugurated by then-prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, measures 16.15 acres. Since the record was not yet mutated in the hospital’s name, land-grabbers kept attempting to occupy the land.

Leghari also sent a report to the Larkana commissioner to cancel the fraudulent entry, said a handout issued by the information department. The fraud was recently unearthed, exposing both the land-grabber and the government servants helping him, and a detailed report was sent to the DC for action.
