IDPs in Bannu took out a protest rally from Milad Park, Bannu City and marched through various districts to the Bannu Press Club. The protesters held placards which were inscribed with slogans against K-P government, Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri.
Led by North Wazirstan Affected People Committee president Nisar Ali Khan, the protesters said that PTI and PAT had occupied Islamabad and started a sit-in for an indefinite time and that the move was hiding problems of the IDPs from the world. They termed sit-ins by both leaders as a drama.
The protesters demanded that the PTI chairman should remove ‘Khan’ from his name because he was not representing their interests. They argued that if he was a leader representing them, he would have been there with the IDPs rather than dancing and singing with a mob in Islamabad.
The speakers further claimed that relief items that were dispatched for the IDPs were being sold in the market openly.
Further, the IDPs claimed that they were being evicted from government schools without providing an alternate residence, and that they were being provided substandard food items. They claimed they were being fleeced for their domiciles and identity cards.

Isn't N. Waziristan in FATA which falls under federal government. Why the blame is on KPK government only although they're trying to help them? Has the federal government provided any fund to KPK government for support of the IDPs? PMLN doesn't want these IDPs to enter Punjab and PPP does not want them in Sindh, so why is the blame on KPK government which is the only one trying to help them to whatever extent they can.
Isnt it reverse logic ? Why are they protesting against PTI and PAT when they should protest against the media for not giving them media coverage. It is not that IK has bought out media channels like NS. They can talk to local PML-N guys who have good access to media channels and they can start through requesting Sethi to give them coverage.
KPK Chief minister has responsibility to dharna in Islamabad but not rain victims in Peshawar or IDPs in Bannu.
What a sorry excuse of a 'news' piece. Looking after and providing for the IDP's is not the responsibility of KP provincial govt, but are in fact the federal government's job - despite this, IK and PTI have made more than enough efforts to accommodate and provide for IDP's without any support from NS. This 'protest' is clearly a sad attempt to take away attention from the Azadi March. Painting KP govt as one to blame shows how desperate PMLN is to earn some sympathy. I wonder how much Nisar Ali Khan had to pay to each of these IDP protesters to get them to do this.
I am surprised at the huge crowd shown in the photograph that has gathered to protest against the indifference showed by PTI & PAT, Really it is a mammoth crowd. As Sadistani rightly said that this is the responsibility of the Federal Government. I don't think that the interior minister even knows his job description.
Part of the reason behind IK's dharna is to hide his failure in working for the welfare of the IDPs.
Who doesn't know Nisar Ali Khan? An opportunist PMLN worker in North Waziristan. Doesn't he even know North Waziristan IDPs are the responsibility of federal govt (FATA being federal area) since KP govt has not been given a single penny for IDPs by federal govt. Substandard food, delay in money are all due to federal govt's agency FDMA (under SAFRON ministry). Despite no monetary support from federal govt, KP govt is supporting IDPs from its own meagre resources by offering them free medicines in hospitals; free education in schools & colleges; govt-rented homes etc. This is all from KP's own resources and still some local PMLN leaders try to blame KP govt instead of Nawaz Sharif (under whom FATA is). So unfortunate, so sick :(
