What is your idea of perfect happiness?

I wish there was such a thing as “perfect” happiness. But a small house by a beautiful beach, lots of seafood, my dogs and a few loved ones around and I’ll consider my life a success.

What is your greatest fear?

My fear is sooo great that I can’t talk about it here. I fear it’ll happen if I let it out. But losing a loved one is hard too. It surely is one of my other fears.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Impatience. It makes me act rudely and lose focus when most required.

What is your greatest extravagance?

I don’t believe in spending unnecessarily, but I don’t know where my beliefs go when I see a good watch. That, and travelling. I need out every three months. Other than that, I’m great with money!

What is your current state of mind?

It’s crowded with 234 thoughts!

On what occasion do you lie?

I don’t lie. I just get evasive and change the subject.

What do you most dislike about your appearance?

I’ve got a friendly face and a halfway decent body. I like me, overall.

Which living person do you most despise?

Not anyone in particular. I dislike someone for a bit and get over it soon enough.

What is the quality you most like in a man?

He just has to be honest and a nice guy, you know! It’s destiny, if you’ve got to get along, you always will. No qualities required there but it’d be cool if he didn’t smoke too much.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

Every person you know, love, hate and adore came out of some woman’s womb.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

When I like something I let out this disgusting and irritating “naaaicceee”.

When and where were you happiest?

Indus Music and the early days of MTV were surely great days for music in Pakistan. To be a part of it still makes me happy and proud.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Being considered a youth icon for music and entertainment in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

I’d like to come back as my own Yorkshire Terrier for the life he lived and the love he had.

What is your most treasured possession?

My watches.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Not being able to drive to the beach on a nice sunny day because “halat kharab hain”.

What is your most marked characteristic?

I’m always smiling. MashAllah.

Who is your hero of fiction?

Optimus Prime. Osama Bin Laden. In that very order.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Mowgli (from The Jungle Book. and he is historic okay).

Who are your heroes in real life?

Salman Butt, Mohammed Aamir and Mohammed Asif. Honestly, my heroes are everyday people who’re desperately trying to make a life in Pakistan and are still smiling at the end of the day.

How many hours of loadshedding did you experience yesterday?

Was at work yesterday but the bijli went twice while filling out this questionnaire!
