A remote-controlled device was placed on the side of the road in Tangi, Salarzai tehsil and exploded when a school van was passing by. The driver of the van was among the deceased.
The blast was so intense that the entire van was destroyed in the explosion. A passer-by was also injured.
Political administration official Sohail Khan confirmed the incident and said that the target of the blast was unclear.
Khan stated that the political administration cordoned off the area and a search operation was ongoing, however, no arrests were made until the filing of this report.
The official further stated that the deceased school teachers, Salma, Sameena and Tabinda, were residents of Civil Colony Khar. He said the two children who were killed were their relatives, while the driver was a local.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blast.

@Shah (Pk): My dear brother there is no dearth of such people on both sides of the border they are senseless it is not their fault it is curse on them hence we ignore such people. @the Skunk: My sincere sympathies with the departed souls, those who are killing innocent people must be condemned by every one, but your logic accusing India can not be understood have your security agencies, police,Army have captured any Indian and produced before the world press or Pak press. It is not in the intrest of both the countries to level allegations without proof. You kill all these bastered we have no problem I pray for the success of the operation by the Pakistan Army at the earliest.
Words cannot describe the barbaric nature of this crime. This is not the first time the terrorists have shown their evil temperament by targeting little school going children. They have targeted children, women and elderly on numerous occasions. It is only safe to say that they heartlessly continue to cross all lines for the sake of achieving their terrorist agenda. We send our heartfelt condolences to the friends and families of the victims. We sincerely hope that they will find the strength to deal with this tragedy. We hope to see the perpetrators caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

@the Skunk Disgusting still want to paint it by political color, If you can not condemn then stay silent.
Dear Pakistanis and fellow Indians, please don't bring politics into something as tragic as this. The dead are women teachers and children. Anyone who is not moved at hearing that is not human. I pray to Allah that such sufferings end soon.
What goes around, comes around...
As you reap, so shall you sow....
The number of cliches that spring to mind! But you Pakistanis will continue to be in denial. Well, whatever...
Condolences to the families of the bereaved - innocents are paying the price of the misdeeds of decades of the Pakistan Army.

Very sad, there was some respite for last few weeks but it seems that this is starting again.
@sh(india): pakistanis are born to conspiracy theories , they keep starting conspiracy theory to justify their own stupidity which allowed islamic barbarian terrorist to rise in their country.
@the Skunk Your govt didnt even catch a single indian or hindu in any bomb blast attack. How did u even link india without any evidence?
KPK Police is on the chase. They are keen to solve most of the cases.
Let's hope our army gives an appropriate response.
Inna Lillahe WA Inna Ilaihe Rajeoon. Ameen. Again these insane and satanic creatures from Afghanistan aka India, are targeting women and children. Targeting teachers and children is meant to demoralize the nation but will only strengthen our resolve to act and increase the volume of our call for justice. Salams
