Heinous crime: Woman abducted, gang raped

BAHAWALPUR: Police said on Sunday that three men had assaulted a woman in Musa Colony. Shahnaz Mai, a resident of Moza Mangwani, said she was sleeping with her mother and children when Zahid, Ataullah, Javed, Arshad, Bakht Ali, Imran Ejaz and their accomplices forcibly entered her house. She said they abducted her at gunpoint and took her to Ataullah’s residence in Musa Colony where they raped her several times. Abbasnagar police raided the premises and recovered the victim. The team  also arrested Javed and Ataullah. Separately, a man tried to assault a child. Kala abducted Naseer, a resident of Jafri Town. He tried to rape the child who started shouting. He then fled.
