KARACHI:

Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Sindh leader Syed Mukhtar Ali has announced that his party will organise sit-ins across the province from today (August 18).

The protests will continue until the government quits. He said that the party's demands were identical to those presented by Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri. MWM is allied with the PAT and has reiterated the former's demands for the prime minister to quit and the government to be absolved.

On the other hand, Jamatud Dawa Sindh Ameer Faisal Nadeem has requested the political parties protesting in Islamabad as well as the federal government to avoid confrontation with each other and divert their attention towards the impending crises in Gaza and Waziristan. He advised leaders of all major political and religious parties to stand united for the sake of prosperity of the nation.
