Family of a woman patient protested against the administration of a private hospital on Saturday after they learnt that a surgeon there forgot to take out a towel from her abdomen after an operation.
Sahiba, a resident of Ghulamabad village near Sadiqabad, underwent surgery in January this year to remove a tumour at the hospital.
Later, she reported severe pain. Despite treatment, the pain persisted.
On Friday, another doctor operated upon Sahiba and removed a towel that had been left behind after the previous surgery.
Sahiba’s husband, Allah Ditta, has appealed to the health authorities to take action against the private hospital and its doctors for their negligence.
