
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, he said that both the PTI and PAT had applied for permission to hold rallies in Islamabad which was proof of their sense of their responsibility. However, he revealed that both parties had agreed in principle that they will not enter the Red Zone. He added that Red Zone was actually a red line that should not be crossed.
The interior minister added that according to intelligence reports two suicide bombers had entered the capital, adding that the capital administration had laid a security cordon around the rallies and had asked the rally organisers to cooperate with the security agencies.
He informed media persons that additional enforcement has been summoned from Azad Kashmir to avoid any unfortunate incident and and that they were establishing a security cordon around the participants of the marches.
The interior minister added that the government will not intervene in any democratic or political activity in the country. But he lamented how marchers did not pay any heed to the IDPs with the nation engaged in an operation against terrorists.
