According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS would chair the Corps Commanders meeting at the GHQ on Monday.
Matters related to internal security and the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan would be discussed during the meeting.
Earlier on Saturday, Director General of Military Operations Maj Gen Amir Riaz briefed the participants of the National Security Conference about the operation and the status of objectives achieved so far, said a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The conference was informed about the areas cleared by the armed forces, and that terrorists were on the run and their command and control system had simply crippled.
“The meeting was briefed that that during the operation and to handle the blowback of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, requisite legal and constitutional cover has been given to the Pakistan Army wherever it was required,” said the statement.

Even PmLn ppl accepting that verse dandli by their own ppl was carried. then whatsapp fate of MNS govt. is might is right. when we will resort to pure elections. Army must intervene for smooth transfer of power by stepping down MNS. This is only solution.
Army must save ppl from brutality. why dont they facilitate when requested by govt as per press release. Then why this blood shed. Army should not waste time other wise Nation will finish their believe on Great Army.
@Aschraful Makhlooq: If army is the silver lining for you then their comrades Dharif enterprise must be the gold line. Their best move will be to let the ship sink and save army's skin, since in a democracy both army brass and Sharifs must be put on trial for the carnage they jointly organised in most provinces of the country although the Nawaz muslim league was only successful in the Punjab province.

@Blithe:
Notice that IK had remained quite on a musharraf .
Notice that NS and SS had remained quite on Zardari issues. Wasnt showbaz supposed to drag zardari on streets and get the looted money back? Oh "Josh-e-Khitabat" and usual "Munafqat"
After Allah Almighty and by the greatest ever and endless blessings of Allah Almighty only army is the silver lining in the dark clouds for Pakistan and Pakistani nation because our own elected people harm us and they show themselves the angels before the nation during the elections' campaign and later collect as many as possible.COAS and Corps Commanders must have to decide to take the positive and solid steps strongly and strictly to get Pakistan rid of the current crises, ordeals and turmoils because from the political and civil leadership there are no any hopes of betterment and welfare except to complete the tenure and I am sure that in the this Corps Commanders' conference the most worst ever current political situation, created by PTI.PAT,PML-Q and PML-N in Pakistan, shall be discussed and what steps has to be taken also shall be discussed to handle the this current condition and army will implement its decision in this regard on the exact time and that time may come any day any time not necessary in 2018 on the completion of PML-N.We have to hope for better from Corps Commanders conference called in emergency.....
benevolent dictator and truely pwerful local govt, thats what we need
@Timorlane: Please dont spread false propaganda. South Korea and Singapore are democracies where armies remain loyal to the legitimate governments. Perhaps you meant North Korea and Burma. All this ruin we see in Pakistan are doings of generals like Ayub, Yahya, Ziaul and Mush.
This army must prove it is not Egyptian army . It must stay out of politics .
@Ch. Allah Daad: What if the government itself came into power undemocratically?
time for Kakar formula 2 this is absurd what is happienng in Lahore and Islamabad plus how can only one family have it's daughters nephew nices and uncles run the whole country it used to e called Nepotism I don't know what it is called in Pakistan !
it will be opertion zerb e azb democracy
@Ozair: If army is really sincere to this country then it must give a very strong message to anti-democratic forces that it would not tolerate any protest or long march to topple democratically elected government. In democracy, you can protest or conduct long marches against corruption, lawlessness, load shedding, poverty etc. but cannot use them to remove governments.
COAS and Corps Commanders must support democratically elected government and obey its orders. Any un-constitutional step will destroy this country.
This man means business and that's to clean Pakistan from all kind of terrorism that includes so-called inqilabis. Army is already on patrol in major cities of Punjab. This time no face saving.
Seeds of another martial law in the making. Every 5 years, history repeats itself in Pakistan. This is why Pakistan is where it is, even 67 years after independence. Quaid-e-azam did not make Pakistan for the army. It was meant for the people of Pakistan.
The agenda in all probabilities will be to give rest to the highly charged political parties for at least ten years and bring back sanctity in Pakistan.
Punjabis unite. Don't fight.
Everybody knows from day first that dictatorial mindset and bureaucratic styled government of PMLn will not come out of chaos and will lose government because they don't use political forces for diluting political tensions.
We need a true dictatorship eliminating all the corrupt and criminals like happened in Singapore, South Korea
The fate of Sharif Govt lies in the outcome of this meeting. Lets hope Army decides for the betterment of Pakistan.
If situation deteriorates than Army has to step in to control the situation since this current Govt. seems incompetent to handle the political situation.
Get Nawaz and Government Resignation asap, to avoid any disturbance in our beloved country and call for new elections which must be free and fair.
Yours truly,
You could have done better than choosing these clows IK and TuK .
