Party’s Over: Man held with 150 litres of liquor

Cases have been registered under the relevant laws, said a press release.

RAWALPINDI: The Pirwadhai police on Saturday apprehended two persons including a suspected bootlegger and seized a huge quantity of liquor and a weapon from their possession. Acting on a tip-off, a police party intercepted a vehicle at a police checkpoint and during checking, found 150 litres of liquor. The police took the driver, identified as Shaukat, into custody and started investigation. Meanwhile, the same police arrested Haleem Jan for carrying an unlicensed pistol and four bullets. Cases have been registered under the relevant laws, said a press release.
