Reckless driving: One killed, seven injured in accident

Rescue officials reached the scene and took the injured passengers to a trauma centre.

Rescue officials said on Saturday that a man was killed and seven others were injured after a traffic accident on Indus Highway.


Rescuers took the injured people to Dera Ghazi Khan Trauma Centre. Doctors said two passengers had been critically injured.

Officials said a van was going to Shah Sadardin via Dera Ghazi Khan when it collided with another van near Punjab Rice Mills.

Rescue officials reached the scene and took the injured passengers to a trauma centre.

Muhammad Imran, a passenger, died at the trauma centre.

The injured passengers have been identified as Muhammad Ibrahim, Mureed Hussain, Irshad Hussain, Nasir Bhutta and Muhammad Zeeshan. Ashfaq Ahmad, an uncle of Irshad Hussain, said that the accident had been caused by the driver’s negligence who fled from the scene.
