Flight for life: Kidnapped man escapes, returns home

Police say man broke window of room kidnappers were keeping him in, jumped out and escaped

DASKA:


A man who was kidnapped over two months ago escaped from the custody of his kidnappers on Thursday and reached home near Daska.


Police said Saifullah was returning to his village from Daksa on a motorbike with some jewellery and cash after he sold his cattle two months ago.

They said he reached Malaikay Canal bridge, four men stopped him at gunpoint and snatched the jewellery and money.

They also took him with them. Police said they beat him several times and kept him locked up in a room in a house. They said the man broke the window of his cell, jumped out and escaped.

He told police Salim, Mazhar, Amir and Fakhar had kidnapped him.

Police said they had registered a case and were searching for the suspects. They said they would be arrested soon.
