Fatal robbery: Robbers kill, escape with Rs0.7m

A shop owner was shot dead on Thursday in a street robbery, less than half a kilometre away from the SSP office.

HYDERABAD: A shop owner was shot dead on Thursday in a street robbery, less than half a kilometre away from the SSP office. Four armed robbers on two motorcycles surrounded Abdul Rahim Brohi, 38, who was on foot and snatched the cash he had withdrawn from a bank. When Brohi resisted, the robbers shot and killed him. According to the Makki Shah police, the unidentified suspects escaped with around Rs700,000 which the deceased was taking to his spare parts shop near Hyder Chowk.
