Female workers gathered outside Qadri's residence while mostly male supporters were seen outside Minhajul Quran.
Express News screengrab of female PAT workers, armed with sticks, outside the PAT chief’s residence.
The barriers were placed late last night, hours after a case was registered against Qadri on charges of inciting people to violence, waging war against the state and promoting terrorism.
The party workers said that if their leader was detained then the state administration would be responsible for the security situation.
PAT principal secretary GM Malik had claimed that around 3,000 activists had gathered at the Minhajul Quran secretariat ahead of Youm-e-Shuhada.

Not a supporter of any political party but as a Model Town resident, I am very concerned with these people getting by Minhaj. Their loud speaker is enough to keep me up at nights but now its down right getting difficult for us residents.
Police should do something about this and keep a close eye. Why cant government put 245 in Lahore as well for now. Minhaj and the hate coming out of qadri's mouth and looking at some of his followers ready to just beat any one is not a good sign. Why cant qadri do this in Canada?
Fake Inqilab!
Declaring war against corrupt thugs like Nawaz Shareef and his criminal gang is not against the State. This struggle to throw this criminal usurpers out is in-fact in the service of Pakistan and its masses. I support Professor Qadri and IK and anyone for that matter who would do cleansing of Pakistan from all these dirty little parasites who are eating away our national resources and the wealth of our nation. Go Ik & and go Professor. go together, and destroy this monstrosity they call gangsters Shareef Family dynasty. Out with them all the criminals and the crooks.
Jinnah was right secularism and democracy is not for subcontinent muslims.
Another Lal Masjid and Pro-Taliban / Fundamentalist Qadri and others like him dont wanna Pakistan, a peaceful and prosper country. Think about Pakistan so called Western revolutionists.
This low life Canadian Molvi should be behind bars or mental hospital....nowhere else. Govt must deal with such rodents in appropriate manner
Government didn't learned any lesson from the model town incident or the act made PML(N) more adamant? ......if this time they repeat this act I am sure that would be an end for the Government.
Qadri and his associates (the self proclaimed leaders) are only watching their own interest, not the national. Can one expect anything positive from Chaudhrys?
@Ranjha ....
You should be scared as it will make you see fairies more sooner than expected
Where we are going, where is National Spirit.Are we a nation of this modern world, Some want to do long march, other will stop them, some want to change Government, Who will build up country on the way of development. I am living in China, when new China form, the LEADERS developed National spirit into public, then China rapidly grow and become the big power.
@popsaeed:
