IED blast in Chaman injures 12

Two police officers are among the injured, explosion takes place near the Deputy Commissioner Office

CHAMAN: An improvised explosive device (IED) blast near the Deputy Commissioner Office in Chaman left at least twelve people injured on Thursday.

The injured, two of whom were identified as police officers, were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Two of the wounded are in critical condition.

The IED was planted on a motorcycle parked on Mall Road in Chaman, which is located in the Qilla Abdullah District of Balochistan.

Security forces have cordoned off the blast site and rescue operation is underway.
