BHAKKAR:

A 17-year-old boy was shot dead on Tuesday by a guard of a private garden in Bhakkar.

The boy’s family told the media that Amir Abbas Shah was bathing in a canal with some friends near Amirabad village. Shah went to a private garden near the canal and hid in a bush.

Kafaitullah, a guard, warned him and told him to leave the premises. When Shah did not emerge from the bush, he fired at the bush, killing the boy. People in the area gathered at the scene and handed the guard to the Darya Khan Cantt police.

Police said a case had been registered against Kafaitullah and they were investigating. The body of the deceased has been sent to the THQ hospital for an autopsy, police said.
