The raid occurred in the early hours of Sunday, August 4, at about 2am, in which three people were arrested. However, Rangers denied the raid on the MQM leader's residence, stating that a search operation had been conducted in a street next to Sattar's residence.
MQM's Rashid Godil said that innocent people had been arrested in the raid and were wrongly termed as target killers.
Rangers personnel reportedly removed barriers from Sattar's residence during their search operation, and took the MQM leader's guards into custody, while seizing their weapons.
Two of Sattar's neighbours and a visitor, who was a party member according to Sattar, had been arrested in the raid.
Rangers officials claimed that two of the suspects arrested during the early morning raid were allegedly involved in target killing and extortion, and denied that any barriers had been removed.
Further, the officials added that negative propaganda against the ongoing search operation should be avoided.

The police and rangers should not forget that the area around all MQM leaders’ homes is secured and no go area. All kinds of “innocent” people find refuge in that area for protection. The police or rangers should seek permission and give prior notice to the concerned MQM leader so these innocent characters can be moved to another safe area. There is no criminal in and around MQM safe houses these are all innocent people and should never be touched.

This time it should be taken to a logical end. If the police, courts and other law enforcement agencies take a courageous action, there is no reason why we can't have peace on just two weeks.

Karachi has poor record in terms of Law and order situation because Mafia and Criminals have access to big parties and sharks. Now is the time to rid city of Light from all kinds of criminals, thugs, blackmailers and terrorists. Power to Rangers and Sindh Police, keep it up and dont get blackmailed from any political party's pressure.
