Model Town Riots: ‘Complete challan against Gullu Butt’

LAHORE:
n anti-terrorism court on Saturday ordered police to complete the challan until August 9 against Gullu Butt who is accused of vandalising several vehicles during the June 17 clashes in Model Town. The investigation officer requested the judge to grant him more time to complete the challan. Butt was produced in the court amid tight security. Butt vandalised a number of cars during clashes between Pakistan Awami Tehree workers and police in front of the Minhajul Quran International Secretariat. Fourteen people were killed in the riots. The court had earlier dismissed a bail petition by Butt stating that there could not be any facilitation for someone who is accused of vandalism.
