HANGU: Two people were killed and 14 others were injured when a vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in Hangu late Thursday night. A police official said a passenger van loaded with teenagers was on its way to Swat for a picnic when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Khazina Banda area and the van fell into a gorge, killing two people on the spot and injuring 14 others. The official said police rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Kohat Divisional Hospital from where four injured persons including the driver were referred to Peshawar. Police registered a case and started further investigation.
