Old enmity: 2 shot dead in Quetta
The deceased have been shifted to a hospital while the attacker managed to flee.
QUETTA:
A man allegedly opened fire on two people in Sariab on link Badini road in Quetta, resulting in the death of both victims.
The attacker, who managed to flee, had been identified by the police as Master Abdul Khaliqdad.
“The motive behind the twin murders is old enmity, and investigations are underway,” a police official said.
The deceased were identified as Jalal Khan and Khalil Ahmed, and were taken to the Civil Hospital for an autopsy.
Woman injured in a hand grenade attack in Panjgur
A woman was injured in hand grenade attack in Shahpatan area of Panjgur district.
Unknown men on a motorcycle hurled a hand grenade at the residence of Yaqoob, resulting in a woman getting injured, according to police.
The attackers managed to escape, while the injured was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Bullet riddled body found in Kuchlak
A bullet riddled body was recovered by police from Kharoatabad ground, Kuchlak, a suburb of the provincial capital on Sunday.
The deceased was identified by the police as Muhammad Ali. The father of the victim, Nawab Khan, told the police that unidentified men had picked his son from his residence.
Police shifted the body to a hospital, and later handed it over to the legal heirs after the medical formalities had been completed. A case had been registered against the unknown persons.
Cases of kidnapping
In a separate incident, unknown armed men kidnapped a person in Dalbandin town of Chagai district on Sunday.
According to the Balochistan Levies, unknown armed men knocked on the door of a resident in Ghareebabad in Dalbandin, identified as Muhammad Idrees. Upon opening the door, the armed men kidnapped him on gun point.
Separately, a Levies official in Chaman arrested two suspects involved in a case of kidnapping for ransom. The perpetrators were identified as Abdul Bari and Mosa in the kidnapping for ransom.
The Levies said both suspects were listed as wanted for several cases.
