Quetta killings: Two police constables slain

The constables were going on a motorcycle towards Sariab Mills when ambushed.

QUETTA: Two police constables were shot dead by unidentified assailants in an apparent targeted attack in the troubled Sariab area of Quetta on Friday morning. Two masked gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire at the two policemen, identified as head constable Munir Ahmed and constable Naseebullah, killing one on the spot and critically injuring the other. “The constables were going on a motorcycle towards Sariab Mills when ambushed. Munir Ahmed died on the spot while Naseebullah succumbed to his injuries on the way to Provincial Sandeman Hospital,” SP Sariab Imran Qureshi told The Express Tribune. Police have detained nine persons for questioning.
