Speaking in Lahore, Khan said that he is fighting for Pakistan, and that he will provide evidence against the rigging that was carried out in the May 2013 general elections.
Asking his supporters to prepare for the march, Khan said that the march will start from Lahore.
Hinting that their march will not end after reaching Islamabad, he said that it was not a Twenty20 match, but a Test match.
Khan clarified that he has no desire to become the prime minister and will continue his fight till the incumbent electoral system is reformed.
"The present government and their mandate is false," he said.
Khan and his PTI have been planning a million-man march on to Islamabad on August 14 to coincide with Independence Day. They are demanding that the incumbent electoral process should be changed.
