Police operation: Bench to hear Model Town case

He requested the court to restrain the inquiry tribunal from proceeding on the Model Town incident.

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmad on Wednesday constituted a new bench to hear a petition challenging the Model Town inquiry tribunal. Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan will head the bench. The petition will be heard on July 25. 

Qamar Sohail had filed the petition saying the tribunals comprising judges of superior courts tended to lower the judiciary’s esteem.

He requested the court to restrain the inquiry tribunal from proceeding on the Model Town incident.
