Did you know? Zeb not being given credit for Highway song

A source revealed that the Indian Music Company had planned this to block the Pakistani singer from entering Bollywood

The name of the Pakistani singer Zeb, who has sung Sooha Saha for the movie Highway with Alia Bhatt, has been removed from Indian websites.

According to Roznama Express, the Indian music company scraped off her name from the official website as well. The song’s popularity drove many viewers to YouTube, where the music credit has only been awarded to Alia Bhatt, director Imtiaz Ali and music director AR Rahman. Zeb’s fans all across the world have showed resistance towards the Indian music company and have demanded her name to be included in the song’s credits. A source revealed that the Indian Music Company had planned this to block the Pakistani singer from entering Bollywood.

When this issue was taken to Indian director Mahesh Bhatt, while talking to Roznama Express, he said: “It is very important for an artiste to be paid and given credit for the work he or she has done.”

Mahesh Bhatt further commented saying: “As far as Zeb and my daughter’s song is concerned, I believe that the credit should go to both of them. If the uploaded version of the song only has Alia’s name in the credits, then it is utterly wrong. I will speak to the T series authorities regarding this matter and soon there will be a positive conclusion.”

“I have always worked for the stability of the relationship between India and Pakistan. I would never want the credit that a Pakistani artiste or singer deserves to be given to someone else.”

When the director of the film Imtiaz Ali was contacted, he was busy shooting in Europe for his movie and therefore, he excused himself from commenting on the matter.
