In a letter of resignation addressed to K-P Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Sirajul Haq said that after assuming office for the second time as K-P finance minister, he tried to fight for the rights of the province but the federal government ignored his proposals in this regard.
The JI chief added that he introduced reforms in the finance department and set up a financial discipline, which led to a decrease in the provincial government's debt.
Furthermore, Sirajul Haq said that after the general elections, he presented two budgets and was presented with a bonus of Rs1.5 billion from the federal government for his outstanding financial management.

Respect for Siraj ul Haq.... One of the few honest and simple person I have ever seen in dirty politics of Pakistan !
Have to admit that JI is the cleanest party of Pakistan. They have no lotas in their party and everyone comes up from the grass root level learning the transparent standards of the party along the way which is why no JI leader has ever been accused of any corrupt practices. One can disagree with their ideology but their moral standards are the highest in the extremely corrupt political world of Pakistan!
The Minister is not required to beg the central Govenment for favours but to encourage others for a consensus in the National assembly for legislating changes in the distrbution of countries income among its provines on an equitable basis.

In my opinion he shall resign as KPK assembly member as well. Its on record that he and a number of JI MPAs won from Dir after banning the local women from voting. Something illegitimate will remain illigitimate regardless it has a religious color and tone.
Finance and commerce may not be his forte but Mr. Sirajul Haq has set a precedent for rest of the politician of Pakistan. His conduct during his tenure was really exemplary. Credit goes to JI who has potential to produce honest and dedicated leadership in this filthy political landscape.
No party has done more damage to our education and social system than JI. It has not only introduced violence in educational institutions, it also taught nation hypocrisy and hate.
I met him in Norway this year. What a great personality, a simple, honest and a true leader. Hats off
Nobody can work for the egotistical and debauched IK.
I think Arslan Iftikhar expose on IK's morals made rethink the association.

Very down to earth person. I really liked him. PTI also respects him. I hope he is still the Finance Minister of KPK.
Allah May bless him for his true efforts to make KPK & Pakistan corruption free.
He will still hold the finance ministry on KhattK & IK requests. Thanks for that Sir!
very nice and humble man....once he came in model town lahore at JI mosque for juma prayer ....when i went inside the mosque to listen khutba ....its surprised for me that siraj up haq is giving khutba and not a single security person is their for hhis security despite of that je is the finance minster of kpk at that time! Salam Sir
KPK government lost the most competent and honest minister
He and his whole party should completely resign from politics.
He is the only man in Politics who can be trusted. The person who doesn't has Air-condition in his office being a party President,
Big blow to PTI led coalition government which is desperately in need of honest, devoted and simple ministers like Siraj-ul-Haq
Quite a blow....
JI or not, the guy definitely seemed to know what he was doing....
During his tenure 80% of the budget lapsed, he only increased the salaries/perks of CM, Ministers, MPAs etc Not a single new school was made, not a single devoloplment project was carried out.
Most honest and principled party in Pakistan....Pakistanis do not like clean, caring, people..they vote for corruption, drinking, debauchery, and westoxicatedness...and then they complain.
you deserve the leadership; you voted for it.
