A court on Monday sough comments from Millat Park police on a petition seeking registration of a case against 10 people, including six National Database and Registration Authority officials, for issuing the petitioner’s identity card to another man.
Muhammad Abu Bakar told the judge he was to inherit land on the death of his father in 2011. He said he had gone to the NADRA to apply for an identity card but he was told that a card had already been issued in his name. He said his cousin had got the card issued with help from some NADRA officials. He said his cousin wanted to get the property transferred to him using the fake card. He said that he had complained to the NADRA office in Cantt but they did not take action.
