Sadiq, an Azakhel police official, said Jehangir filed a case against his father-in-law Noorul Qamar, a former nazim, for killing two members of his family.
The complainant, Jehangir, said he was married to Noorul Qamar’s daughter. His father-in-law and brothers-in-law came to his residence in Pirpai to settle a dispute.
However, things turned ugly and Jehangir admitted to beating his wife. In retaliation, Noorul Qamar and his sons Noorul Alam and Noorul Sadiq allegedly opened fire on Jehangir’s mother and sister, killing them on the spot. The men fled from the scene, he told the police.
The deceased were identified as Shahida Bibi and her daughter Fatima.
On the other hand, Noorul Qamar also filed a case with the police, accusing Jehangir of opening fire and injuring him when he went to the house.
Noorul Qamar said his daughter was being brutally beaten by her husband Jehangir, who allegedly opened fire on Qamar when he tried to intervene. His wounds were treated at the Lady Reading Hospital.
Police filed a case from both sides and confirmed that Qamar was a former nazim of Pirpai and belonged to a political family.
