Fashion rules to break

With Eid just round the corner, here a few fashion rules you must break.

With Eid just round the corner, here a few fashion rules you must break.

Navy and black shouldn’t be worn together

Absolutely not, just make sure the pairing looks deliberate and you are good to go. Choose a rich blue navy that is clearly distinguishable from the black, and the result is actually very flattering.

Horizontal stripes make you look fatter

Not true, just not true. If you feel unsure, keep the stripes on the skinny side.

Mixing prints makes the outfit look overly messy

This is true, only if the outfits are competing for first place. Make sure one print is more sedate than the other, ideally by choosing a smaller pattern or a more muted colour palette. Perhaps, you should pick prints in the same colour family.

Gold and silver jewelry don’t go together

Truth be told, the contrast looks really fresh. To make it even better, throw in a strand of pearls.
