Ransom cases: Two tribesmen kidnapped in Orakzai

HANGU: Two men were kidnapped from Orakzai Agency by unidentified militants on Saturday. The men were dragged away at gunpoint around 11am by militants near a mosque in Baad Gudar area of the central subdivision of the agency, said a political administration official. The kidnapped men were identified as Shakir and Tamiz Khan, hailing from Stori Khel and Mishti. The official said that both men were bundled into a vehicle and the militants took them away. “A number of tribesmen in the area have been kidnapped,” he said. “But after the ransom is paid, they are released and return safe to their homes.” On Saturday, the brother and son of a trader were kidnapped by unidentified armed men from their hujra in Landikotal tehsil of Khyber Agency. Masked men barged into the hujra of Gul Rehan in Mukhtar Khel and abducted Shad Ali and his son Hamid at guinpoint.
