MQM reinstates suspended Rabita Committee members
According to a statement issued by the party, the party members who were suspended earlier in the day for not performing their duties responsibly have been reinstated. MQM chief Altaf Hussain has also endorsed the decision, according to the statement.
The suspended members were barred from attending any MQM-related public gatherings.
The reinstated Rabita Committee members include Nasreen Jalil, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Qamar Naveed, Dr Sagheer, Mumtaz Anwaar, Tauseef Khanzada, Syed Shakir Ali, Saif Yar Khan, Khalid Sultan, Nisar Pinhvore, Yousuf Shahwani, Aslam Afridi, Ameenul Haq, Ahmed Saleem Siddiqi, Abdur Rasheed Godale, Ishfaq Mangi, Adil Siddiqi, Kaful Wara.
Earlier, the membership of these MQM members had been suspended for an indefinite period of time.

@Uza Syed: You are right. I agree with you to the extent that a reference should be made to the disciplinary clause of the constitution of MQM applied when such a stern action was taken. All I need is a reference.Of course, nothing arbitrary is acceptable. MQM draws its strength from its unparalleled organization so nobody and nobody at all should toy with discipline and duties, otherwise all will come crashing down in no time.

@Aysha M: @mrs ahmed: This is NOT the right thing to do, you just can't humiliate good folks in your party, simply because you have some sense of holding the leadership accountable. It is fine to discipline and do serious & meaningful investigation if there's any suspicion of questionable act of one or many leaders but such whimsical action is objectionable. After all, why were they suspended and then why are they restored within such a short time, I'd be very interested to know the rational here. Good people like you guys must ask questions, it is our right to know as supporters & voters of MQM. Don't you think?

The other day we saw a PTI function headed by Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi. PTI workers drew weapons at each other in a bid to just sit on the stage. Vice Chairman cancelled the function and every one happily went to their homes, Scott free. This is how Tsunami works !

@Noman: It may come easy to dismiss an assertion by calling it 'rubbish', I would rather not go down that path, I would encourage you to understand that any political force with a sense of responsibility, seriousness, sense of contribution and purpose, after having contested elections has to be in power to serve it's constituents/ voters/ prospective voters. Now please understand that so far MQM has not been able to form government independently, so it can only have power to impact change by sharing power. Power can only be shared with those who are voted by the people in this case people voted by rural Sindh. If rural Sindh continues to vote for feudals and jagirdaaars, then MQM has little choice in the matter to share power with those who are voted into the assembly. so the MQM bashing continues , what is the problem it was an internal matter , cant ppl see mqm is very conscious of discipline and practices from top to bottom , these many party leaders were not on time on their duties , so the action was taken , ofcourse when opology was tendered it was duely accepted . rather taking as an example MQM bashing started once again , ppl are happy when at ifaar we have fist fighting to ,firing , food being looted and , MQM has arrived to this stage with good grip on discipline , certainly a reminder that no one is more important than the organization .All the part members follow this golden rule.
Anyone remember, Altaf BHAI bail is being end in last week of July. So experience another hard week in Karachi.

There is a clear rift inside MQM after Altaf Hussain cases in UK. This was the warning given by Altaf to the other senior members of the party that he is still in charge but he won't be for long.

When BP went high the members were suspended, next day BP was normal all were restored. The party that runs on an individuals mood.

I am not a big fan of MQM, but I must say every party should follow the rule and discipline in their parties.
I hate to say that there are only two parties in Pakistan MQM and Jamat e Islami, they have some discipline in their parties.

Good job MQM. I'm sure these workers will be re-instated soon, but this goes to show that the MQM is a highly disciplined political party. Next election, my vote goes to MQM.

With Babar Ghauri, Port & Shipping Wale, prevailing, it is very likely that the question was to join the federal government. Those in favor of the political bribes by the Nawaz League prevailed. In the end, it is all about how an illegal government uses tax payers money to buy off the resistance to its imperial desires. Hanooz 14 August door ast.

oh nothing serious , they were not on duty as per rota , ALTAF BHAI rightly took action , they are suspended , without any consideration of big name , this kind of accountability is key to success , what is so big about it , after show cause some opologies they will be INSHALLAH restored , why are MQM bashers worried.Individuals not but institution is important
What is the reason for this suspension? Which article of the constitution or procedure did these 19 violate? Where is the proof of their crime? How was the decision reached to suspend them? Who made the decision to suspend them? Who are the back-up members running the affairs in place of these 19 suspended members? For every action we must ask the questions what, when, where, who, how, I have not been able to find any answers so far! This happened before in 2013 and after release of Altaf Hussian from British Custody he forgave everyone who were suspended before.
Hasan, Do you know why these 19 were suspended? What article or procedure of the MQM did they violate? Who made the decision to suspend them? I do not see any transparency in this decision. This happened before and they were reinstated and same will happen again. For every action we must ask what, why, when, who, how?

This shows leadership....some or many may laugh on this action, but this is the way to maintain discipline within the party & hold people for accountability....seem the only party who has proved that there is someone watching over them.....may be sitting 1000 of miles away, but he has ear & eye over party activities....that is called leadership.
