No respite: 153 gastroenteritis cases reported

MULTAN: As many as 153 people complaining of symptoms of gastroenteritis were admitted to various public hospitals on Friday. As many as 45 gastro cases were brought to Nishtar Medical Institute and 97 people were admitted to Children Complex. Three patients were reported at Civil Hospital and 8 were admitted to Fatima Jinnah Hospital for Women. As many as 58 patients were discharged and no acute watery diarrhoea (AWD) was reported. On Monday, 174 gastro patients were reported at different public hospitals; on Tuesday a total of 204 acute diarrhoea cases were reported, on Wednesday 164 and on Thursday 214 patients were reported at public hospitals.
