Overcharging: 150 Faisalabad shopkeepers fined

Price control magistrates impose Rs 125,000 fine on profiteers.

FAISALABAD: As many as 150 shopkeepers were fined for profiteering on Thursday. A spokesperson of the local administration said price control magistrates conducted surprise raids in 82 bazaars, markets and shopping plazas and found 150 shopkeepers involved in profiteering and overcharging. These shopkeepers also failed to display rate lists at main places in their shops. Therefore, the price control magistrates imposed Rs 125,000 fine on profiteers.
