@Major Iqbal:

Violent religo-political ideology has more breathing room in Pakistan, compared to other nations, due to the space and environment given to them in mixing religion and state, which Pak's security had exploited, for geo-political reasons, and Pak's majority society condoned it, literally due to shared religious background and affinity to such beliefs.

Bombings and attacks on religious motivations are common in a lot of global terrorist hotspots. West has good security and relatively secular. The problem of religo-political extremism remains, local and foreign. However, much less than Pak due to a population and state that has some basis in allowing it and hence creating a great number of radicals, supporters and sympathizers - even high up, be it in the courts, govt practices or military strategies, etc who fail to bring proper solutions. Secularism can help in the long-term and reduce some of the religiosity thinking and abuses - it will not be 100%. Same way security will not be 100% if we don't consider de-radicalization and undoing this fertile ground that easily grows violent religious extremism.
