KHAIRPUR: A woman and her son were killed near Khairpur on Wednesday morning. Armed men attacked a house in Saleh Kalhoro village and began indiscriminate firing. As a result, Taajul Khatoon Kalhoro and her son, Muhammad Alam Kalhoro, died on the spot while a minor girl, Irshad Khatoon Kalhoro, was injured. The bodies of the deceased and the injured were taken to Civil Hospital, Khairpur. It is suspected that old enmity over a land issue between Junejo and Kalhoro communities was the motive.
