Indian Border Security Force opens fire across border in Sialkot sector
Chenab Rangers retaliate following unprovoked firing; exchange of fire still ongoing.

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing in Sialkot sector near the line of control (LoC) on Wednesday, Express News reported.
Following the attack, the Chenab Rangers fired back. The exchange of fire is said to be still ongoing.
On May 12 of this year, the Pakistan Army lodged a protest with Indian authorities on Sunday over what it said was another violation of ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to military officials, the protest was lodged after Indian troops resorted to ‘unprovoked firing’ at the Bhattal sector of the LoC.
