According to sources, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairperson, who is in London at the moment, expressed his frustration with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its leader, in what is the first time he has spoken out against Nawaz since the latter took charge as the premier.
Zardari also said that the prime minister should take into account the demands made by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the re-counting of votes in four constituencies.
Zardari said that the premier should not be afraid to go ahead with the re-counting of the votes.
He said Nawaz had made several promises to the public, which he has been unable to keep, adding that the public is suffering with water, power and gas shortages.
Zardari, comparing the PPP and PML-N governments, said that load-shedding and circular debt had increased with the present government.
Shah Mehmood reaches out to Zardari
Meanwhile, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has reached out to Zardari to join his party's Independence Day rally on August 14.
This is the first time Qureshi contacted Zardari after he left the Pakistan Peoples Party in February 2011, over an issue involving the Raymond Davis case.
Qureshi also said that other political parties and party leaders such as Khurshid Shah, Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid and Pakistan Awami Tehreek chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri have also been invited to the rally.

Make Zardari the King of Sindh.
@Chachoo:
Punjab may be the highest contributor to IDPs, but how many IDPs have they allowed into Punjab ? giving & letting them in then taking care of them is the most difficult part...they never did in the past & will never do this time too....Karachi was forced to allow IDPs in the past & this time too & the result is for all to see....
All the indications are showing that PML-N is going to loose its credibility and trustworthiness what PML-N showed during its May 2013's elections' campaign and is diving in the addiction of power and wants to play one-man show in Pakistan which is absolutely harmful for PML-N and mid-term elections can be help any time because present Pakistani political conditions are being unfavorable for PML-N...
@Shahid: Their tummies will never be full no matter who many more thousands of billions they eat up in corruption. Only grave's soil will do that till then they will keep looting this country and blackmailing its government and people
@Frank: Only people in this country have the character to call a master crook as master politician, then they shed crocodile tears over destruction of this country
He is annoyed because Sharif has launched developmental projects( metro project and motorway) in Karachi.
The Eighteenth Amendment gave way too many powers and too much power to the provinces and therefore the Federation is stymied. This amendment supposedly for providing sufficient provincial autonomy is moving in the direction of self-rule. Controlled by the feudal "lords" Sindh is gearing to become independent.
@frank
janaab nobody is nostalgic for this guy's govt. NOBODY in punjab.
Zardari want to treat Sindh as his own personal fiefdom, period.
@Momy
This is what democracy is all about; it gives the people not the rulers, the right to form a Government from those who offer to represent you. However, if the elected Government does not deliver what they agreed to, you the people have the authority to replace them, be it with a no cofidence vote or through the impeachment procedure.
Rex Minor
@chachoo You imply rigging in KP, fair enough. Go ahead and ask respective candidates to file for a recount and a detailed audit from ECP/Nadra to open contentious seats. If your implication has even the slightest traction, i can assure you, we the insafians, will proudly stand by justice.
Go ahead , extract more concessions from NS for your corruption , nominate corrpt officlains in Sind polic and so forth. This is the right time for hard bargain. And for his power NS will surely oblige. And PTI ; shame on you , for you only power is the target , for that Zardari is clean . Only NS is corrupt in the whole pakistan. Oh , come on.
If you look into the histroy ,worst government is always formed by PMLN .Yet we vote them and bring them in . Well either we all stand on one platform or let them rule for next 4 years.
Very clear, focused, and accurate statement. The crimes of the Sharif Family are enormous, and there is no court in the country to try them. All parties must unite to try these criminals who have always hidden behind establishment and courts, for their crimes, corruption, kickbacks, commissions and killings.
@Jibran: Mr Sharif has exposed the people of Pakistan to the cohibition civil-military authoritative rule though had clear mandate for peace. He choose the military option which had brought the first military rule in the country and subsequent separation of former East Pakistan. He is not a democrat by any definition but has greed for power to expand his enterprise. Zulfiqar Bhutto was the single democrat in Pakistan history and it is his spirit which is speaking in the person of President Zardari!!
Rex Minor
Earlier Nawaz Sharif met Zardari and now PTI's Shah Mahmood Qureshi is reaching out to him. God help us all when all the politicians seems to be united.
@Jibran: Punjab government so far have contributed the highest amount to help IDPs while Imran Khan is in UK is collecting funds of 14th August Dharna. Where is Imran Khan right now?. If Imran Khan would have some heart for the IDPs then he would have cancelled the UK tour and fundraising for protest and would be stationed in KP to help the IDPs. But alas naive PTI followers will not understand that.
PML-N government has turned out to be a disaster. Just imagine, Khawaja Asif never tired of claiming during last government's tenure that loadshedding problem could be solved in fifteen days. Surprisingly, the friendly media is not playing those clips of TV talk shows. Now, all Khawaja Asif does is to advise the nation to pray for good weather so that there is less demand of electricity. His apology is a confession that the task at hand is much more than what this government can accomplish. It is time all political forces unite to send them home. Our system proved that a government can complete its term. Now, we need to prove we can hold mid-term elections strictly under the Constitution.
@asim: this is the basic problem of Pakistani nation the whatever our leaders says we believe and support without using our brain same is the case with rigging ,we every one knows that the election were under neutral governments and not under the present govt then how it is possible to do mass rigging and same is the case with other parties workers this attitude is not confined to any party and this is the reasons that our beloved leaders are using us for vote and support without delivering anything to nation and we are blind supporters !
Zardari Sb is eyeing Rs 8.00 billion arms deal & his govt PPP in Sindh has removed 3 honest people who were hindrances in the procurement process. After removal of IG who resisted the process, the Federal govt sent 3 new names, but not one approved by the CM Sindh, because they want Mr Leghari ex IG who was removed by SC due to incompetence, to be appointed as IG, because Mr Leghari is the most politicized Police officer & who during his tenure went to Serbia to watch the trial of the controversial APCs & proposed its procurement, which has further been exposed as those being re-conditioned & being offered double the price compared to new one in same category. This is the reason all those 3 removed officers did not want to get involved in order to avoid similar to KP Police procurement case in which Ex IG & others are in jail pending investigation....
Nawaz & Zardari are one
Look who says!
How can he comment?
When they were in government and now as well, they failed in controlling law and order situation of a country.
Indirectly ik is supporting zardari , corruption ,the message is clear if you interfere in sind corruption mafia or announce development project we will support ik !
Dear prime Minster Please read what is written on the wall.. If you have mandate please prove it and listen to the opposition you are not a king. please behave like a elected representative...
If PTI can break Zardari Nawaz Partnership for government..Then people of pakistan can Gain.
Its so nice to see our Ex President after so long
Shareef government seems guilty of coming to power through rigging. Why else did they change the NADRA head and harass him? Why else to his party MNA's get stay order against reordering. They have some thing to fear and they fear being exposed.

Here they go! Yesterday Imran Khan called PPP, PML (N) and MQM as mafia and today Shah Mehmood Qureshi reached out to Zardari to join PTI for a rally against PML (N). If this is not hypocrisy than what it is? One mouth talk one way and other the other way. And if caught then they can say easily that is not what "I" said, my statement is on record what "I" said.
All politicians are nothing but liars and will say and do anything that suits them.
Hahaha.. what interference? Announcing funds for development schemes ? Mr Zardari look at the response of Krachiets. Load shedding circular debts tell us how much your province owes to wapda. Also tell us a single mega project of PPP in its last tenure.You think,as you say it,mega project is the job of monarchs hence this country doesn't need it while being democratic.Zardaei sahib if you don't learn you will be restricted to Larkana in next election.
It is time that the former President speaks out before Nawaz Sharif declares himself Nawaz Khan, the Pfaraoh ruler, since all punjabis reckon that Khan is the right title to rule over the people of the subcontinent.
Rex Minor
Look who is stating that Nawaz is not fulfilling the promises and load shedding and circular debts are increased.
Zardari is a criminal
Please do not interfere in provincial matters and let the Sind government make money to feed the ex president.
What double standards.He defended these elections earlier calling them cleanest elections to date and now Zardarino throws his weight behind PTI's demands.Swinging on stances like these makes the jiyalas look stupid who thinks these pseudo seculars have any principles or political vision.Enjoy Sindh while you can.
Look who's talking and making comparasion.......... No shame at all!!!!!
Sharif regime's callous attitude towards IDPs is shameful. IDPs are starving, homeless in scorching heat, subjected to humiliation and disease, and the regime wants to waste money on extravagance. The energies of it's ministers are focused against PTI dharna, or Lahore massacre, or Karachi. Anything which happens under their domain, or they are responsible for, is suffering badly.
Look who is Talking
This man is a master politician. After a year of this disasterous PML-N government - the worst government in Pakistan's history - people in Punjab are now, amazingly, becoming nostalgic for the once hated Zardari. Perfect timing.
The same logic applies to PTI's KP and Karachi chapter who are interfering in the internal politics of Punjab. According to PTI followers KP's elections were the most transparent in the history of the Universe followed by Balochistan and Sindh while Punjab have got all the problems.
This is a carrot and stick policy from MR zardari, we all know how smart the politician he is..he is doing arm twisting of Noon to get more and more advantage for his party from this situation and to negotiate a deal about corruption cases in NAB and through FIA with Noon, just what happened to Gilani and amin fahim.., he knows this is the best time to cash in.
