The report stated that 25 police officials were killed in January, 19 in February, four in March, seven in April, nine in May, 19 in June and eight in the first half of July.

The spokesperson said that most of the police officials were targeted in the West Zone.
According to sources, members of a banned outfit target police officials in the area.
The sources added that organised networks of the banned outfit were involved in the target killings of the police personnel.

If the operation was conducted with sincerity in beggining, these numbers would have been significatly lower. First six-months of Karachi Operation were spent on illegally abducting, and torturing and Extra-Judically murdering Innocent MQM Workers while Militants flourished and secured there bases, and from time to time conducted attacks of Police and other LEA's.
MQM needs to be taken to task for killing all the junior policemen. Deweaponisation needs to start from Karachi.
Deweaponisation of the whole country is so very important at this point in time. Until everyone is rid of their arms, this problem is not gonna end. After the north Punjab and Sindh need to be cleaned thoroughly as well
