Interference: Flying Club moves LHC against govt

LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Monday sought arguments on the maintainability of a petition challenging Punjab government’s alleged illegal interference in the affairs of the Lahore Flying Club (LFC). LFC general secretary Tahir Saleem filed the petition, stating that the club had been providing flying facilities on its own land at the Walton Airport. “The government has started interfering in our affairs illegally and wants to grab our land,” he said. The petitioner asked the court to restrain the government from interfering in the club’s affairs and possessing its property. Justice Ijazul Ahsan asked the petitioner to present more arguments on the maintainability of his petition at the next hearing.
