Palestine Solidarity Conference: Israeli atrocities ‘are against humanity’, says declaration
Speaking at the Palestine Solidarity Conference held by Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) at Lahore Press Club, the participants demanded that Pakistan government instantly convene a conference of Muslim rulers and join hands with other friendly countries to play an active role in the UN to put an end to Israeli aggression.
The joint declaration issued at the end of the conference said that Israeli atrocities are against the mankind. “People, belonging to different religions, are protesting across the globe against the heinous Zionist crimes. The international community should stand up against Israeli aggression,” it said.
The declaration said the leaders of all religions and schools of thought in Pakistan strongly condemn Israeli war madness and believe that Israel’s attack on Palestine is indeed an attack on humanity. “The UN and international community have the responsibility to stop Israeli aggression.”
The speakers said Israel is committing genocide of innocent Palestinian children, women, the elderly and youth, which is unmatched in history.
It was decided during the conference that Yaum-e-Quds will be observed on Friday with enthusiasm. The Christian community of Pakistan will express solidarity with the Palestinian people and pray for them in churches next Sunday.
In his telephonic address to the conference, Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan, Ahmed Abu Ali, said that the entire world is protesting against Israeli aggression today.
“Protests are being staged against Israeli atrocities in the United States, Europe and even Tel Aviv, but the Muslim world has been maintaining a criminal silence. Rather than worrying about the dead bodies of Palestinian children, they are interested in who wins or loses in football.”
He said Pakistani prime minister was the first among all Muslim leaders to condemn Israeli aggression. “Every Palestinian holds Pakistan in high esteem and prays for its survival and stability,” he added.
A resolution was passed during the conference to demand that the government keep the Pakistani flag at half-mast for one day to protest against Israeli aggression and express solidarity with innocent Palestinians.
JI to hold week-long protest
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday announced to hold a week-long protest against the Israeli aggression against Gaza.
Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar on Sunday, the JI amir vowed that his party would hold protests across the country throughout the week in solidarity with the Palestinians.
Terming the Israeli aggression genocide, Haq stressed that a meeting of all Islamic states should be convened and a joint action be taken against the offensive.
He regretted that no Muslim leader except for Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had taken a stand against Israel.

For goodness sake, Pakistan is a nuclear power and should use this capability to threaten the zionists. The blood of one innocent Muslim spilt is not acceptable. Muslims are a strong force united but unfortunately the wealthy middle east sheiks are more interested in wealth and don't wish to rock the boat in case their billions turn into millions. These pork eating sheiks who gamble, get drunk and take Viagra like smarties should be ashamed. May god give them what they deserve. May god resurrect Palestine and give them back their righteous land.
How many Muslim on Muslim deaths have taken place in Pakistan since your inception? Compare that to the number of Muslims killed by Israel since it's inception (and that includes 7 wars and two Intifada's). You want to help Muslims - fix Pakistan.
Israeli atrocities they are just doing what Hitler did they are becoming the Nazi force punishing the poor people of Palestine, where is America and British the so called allied forces of the peace or they just after the wealth of middle east, i think the united nation should be scrapped because they are one sided anyway.

@Sri_Varahadev: The Pakistan council could have also offered the UNO, the services of Pakistan army in managing the displaced palestinians which is very experienced in forcing people out of their houses after areal bombarment.

Pakistani’s are undoubtedly the world’s most charitable people! 800,000 Muslim Pakistani’s suffering the consequences of being displaced by the Punjabi controlled Pakistan Military action in North Waziristan during Muslim Holy month of Ramazan, yet Pakistani’s would rather devote their time to come out in defense of Palestinians in Gaza rather than Pathans in NWA. Indeed Pakistani’s would feel obliged to devote all time to come out in support of Muslims in Palestine, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Jammu & Kashmir and anywhere else ex cept in Xinjiang in China, rather than come out in support of fellow Pakistani’s.
Not having a Large Pakistani or Muslim Heart, hat tip to Shahid Afridi for the description, I believe that charity begins at home. To me it appears pretty pointless of expending energy on events in distant Gaza where Pakistani’s have no leverage when that energy could be better spent on events in North Waziristan where the Punjabi controlled military of Pakistan has created a humanitarian crisis by forcing some 800,000 Muslims out of their homes during holy Islamic month of Ramadan and where Pakistani’s have some leverage.
Israel and TTP have the same international supporters like India. No surprise there. Pakistan army is dealing with TTP, don't worry. Who will stand up for Palestinians?
