Holy festivities: Hazrat Sachal Sarmast’s Urs begins

KHAIRPUR: The 193rd urs of renowned saint and poet Hazrat Sachal Sarmast began at Daraza Sharif on Saturday. Sajjada-nasheen Dr Sakhi Qabool Muhammad Farooqi had left for the United States so his son, Abdul Haq Farooqi, inaugurated the ceremonies of the Urs. A delegation of Shah Abdul Latif Foundation visited the shrine and recited Fateha. However, the official celebrations will start from Sunday and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah will inaugurate the Urs as the government representative.
