Ongoing operation: Mamnoon lauds FATA sacrifices

President says vigorous steps are being taken at all levels to redress the grievances of tribal people of FATA.

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday said vigorous steps are being taken at all levels to redress the grievances of tribal people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and to remove their sense of deprivation. The president, in a meeting with a delegation of parliamentarians from Fata, said that the government accords highest priority to socio-economic development of tribal areas. He stressed the need for bringing the tribal areas at a par with other developed parts of Pakistan. President Mamnoon lauded the sacrifices of the people of North Waziristan for the peace and stability of the country. He shared that the government has devised a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for the internally displaced persons.
