@Indian: She was not an athiest, she was an agnostic. But whatever, it was her life. she was a great artiste and a great human being full of life and a great sense of humour. Look at her cutting the cake to celebrate her 102 yrs of life, she was amazing. she will be missed very much.
Trend setting lady who lived life on her own terms, a role model for all of us. You will be missed.
Kuchh log the jo waqt ke saanche me dhal gaye Kuchh log the jo waqt ke saanche badal gaye..
There were those that changed as per times And then were those that changed the times
Zohara Sehgal, Qurratulain Hyder, Ismat Chugtai, Gangubai Hangal, MS Subbulakshmi, Mridula Sarabhai....my favourites...all Women of substance with spirits independent that tried to influence the times they lived in. Zohra was probably as old as Bollywood, may be older and as bold as any, may be bolder. Rest in peace!
Rest in peace Ma'm and thank you for your contribution to Indian cinema.
Rest in Peace Zohra Sehgal, Even you brought so many smiles to many faces in your lifetime which will be cherished.
Sehgal observed strict purdah and had never opted to dance; however, once she started her career with Uday Shankar, there was no looking back. Obviously she was not a true believer of Two Nation Theory.
