Revenge attack: Man shot dead over marriage dispute

BAHAWALPUR: A man was shot dead at his home on Thursday night over a marriage dispute. Allah Dad, a resident of Dolatpur near Rahim Yar Khan, was murdered while he was sleeping. Attaullah, the victim’s son, said his brother Amanullah had married a girl a few months ago without the permission of her family. He said the girl’s father, Imam Baksh, son, Saeed Baksh, and six unidentified accused attacked their home on Tuesday night. Attaullah said the accused had entered the house by scaling a wall and shot and killed his father, who was asleep in the courtyard. Police have sent the body for an autopsy.
