ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court Judge Athar Minallah has said that civil judges play a vital role in dispensing quick justice as the poorest of the poor, including those who cannot even afford a lawyer, approach them for justice. “Impartiality, honesty, knowledge and sincerity are the inherent qualities which a judge must possess in discharge his duty,” he said while addressing the trainee judges at the Federal Judicial Academy here on Wednesday. Around 21 judges from across the country are undergoing a weeklong “skill-based ADR training”, session. A suggestion was also made to do away with procedural lacunas to provide speedy justice to the litigants.
