Army chief, premier discuss progress of Zarb-e-Azb

Two top leaders meet in Islamabad to discuss matters of national importance.

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday briefed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about the success of the ongoing military operation against militants in North Waziristan, Express News reported.

The two top leaders met in Islamabad to discuss matters of national importance.

General Raheel, who recently visited North Waziristan to meet the soldiers, informed the premier about his trip.

The COAS said that the army will achieve objectives of the operation as per the direction of the PM.

Lauding the bravery and courage of the soldiers and their contribution in making the operation a success with minimum collateral damage, the prime minister said the ongoing operation will be instrumental in bringing peace and security to Pakistan.

Nawaz also showed satisfaction that all the institutions are performing in a well-coordination manner to support the IDP’s.

We are devising a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for IDPs so that they can be rehabilitated with honour and dignity, after the operation is over, said Nawaz.
The premier also lauded the role of Chief of Army Staff in making the operation successful in the shortest possible time.
